Hi everyone!
I'm an indipendent Upcycle fashion designer creating limited & one-of pieces working with deadstock textile, donated and recycled materials giving it a new life! Based in Harlem NYC, my work is done at home, mostly handmade by me in my room, living up to its slow fashion sense of style.
At GISELLEVGISELLE ATELIER, the work aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) of the United Nations and in doing so, I have been an attendee for the "Uited Nations Fashion and Lifestyle Network" annual meeting of 2025.
My journey with circularity began during a deep-dive search I did behind the fashion industries global affects, and at the time, I was an Audio Engineer in the prestige Engine Room Audio, down in Wall Street. And although I loved my time there, I quickly shifted into becoming part of the solution and also continued educating myself on more ways to get involved in becoming a part of the solution and educating others like I learned as well. In doing so, I started to connect with a myriad of oragizations, especially those focused on animals in need. Land or Ocean. Non-profit organizations like, Remake, OnlyOne, AMA(angels for mistreated animals), Pillows for Paws, New York Bully Crew. And becoming a frequent geek at the American Museum of Natural History
Which during my time working as a propiatery sorter with FabScrap I was pleased to help both organizations like these, connect with the purpose of textile circularity and deriving textile from landfill.
Overall, the purpose behind this brand is saving animals through fashion through education and textile circularity.
